Our History

Ever since 1932, when D.F. "Danny" Richard began delivering kerosene to neighbors in need, D.F. Richard Energy has been keeping the people of coastal New Hampshire and Southern Maine safe and warm.

Eight decades have passed and hundreds of thousands of deliveries have been made since Danny first started delivering kerosene during the Great Depression. But his heritage of uncompromising neighborly service and reliability has endured.

Today, the Richard family company has grown from its humble origins to become one of the area's premier regional suppliers of heating oils, propane gas, and complete heating services. Though D.F. Richard Energy supplies warmth and comfort to over 15,000 customers, we have never lost our commitment to excellent service and dependability.
