The early 1930's were dark days, when the Depression clouded the Seacoast of New Hampshire and Maine. It was an almost unthinkable time, when neighborhoods banded together to provide the basic necessities for survival. People had to rely upon the collective goodwill of friends and every ounce of courage was needed in order to "stick it out".
Within this environment, D.F. Richard Energy was born. D.F. "Danny" Richard began delivering kerosene to neighbors in need. People counted on Danny to come through with his kerosene. He delivered anytime, day or night.
Seven decades have passed and hundreds of thousands of deliveries have been made since Danny first started delivering kerosene during the Great Depression. But his heritage of uncompromising neighborly service and reliability has endured.
Today, the Richard family company has grown from its humble origins to become one of the area's premier regional suppliers of heating oils, propane gas, and complete heating services. Though D.F. Richard Energy supplies warmth and comfort to over 14,000 customers, we have never lost the neighborly service and reliability that generations of customers have come to expect and rely on.
